1 killed, 3 injured as Israeli drone hits van in southern Lebanon despite ceasefire
Israeli forces open fire toward Mays al-Jabal town as drone drops grenade on farmers near Aita al-Shaab, Lebanese media reports

A Lebanese civilian was killed and three others were injured in an Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon on Tuesday as Tel Aviv continued its daily violations of a ceasefire agreement.
The drone strike targeted a small van with three missiles in the border town of Aytaroun, the state news agency NNA reported.
The Health Ministry said that the attack left one person dead and injured three others.
NNA said Israeli forces also opened fire toward Mays al-Jabal town, while a drone dropped a grenade on farmers near Aita al-Shaab in southern Lebanon.
No information was yet available about injuries.
A fragile ceasefire has been in place in Lebanon since November 2024, ending months of cross-border warfare between Israel and the Lebanese group Hezbollah, which escalated into a full-scale conflict in September.
Lebanese authorities have reported over 1,440 Israeli violations of the truce, including the deaths of at least 125 victims and injuries to more than 371.
Under the ceasefire deal, Israel was supposed to fully withdraw from southern Lebanon by Jan. 26, but the deadline was extended to Feb. 18 after Israel refused to comply. It still maintains a military presence at five border outposts.
