Turkey brought home two silver medals in men's 3,000 meters hurdles and women's bocce volo, and one bronze medal in men's 4x100 meters

Turkey brought home two silver medals in men's 3,000 meters hurdles and women's bocce volo, and one bronze medal in men's 4x100 meters relay in Friday's games in the 17th Mediterranean Games.

- Men's 3,000 meters hurdles

Turkey's Tarik Langat Akdag claimed the silver medal with his 8.20.08 in men's 3,000 meters hurdles. His Tunisian rival Ben Yahia won the gold medal with 8.14.05, and Moroccon Hamid Ezzine claimed the bronze with 8.21.03. 

- Women's bocce volo

French Barbara Barthet won the gold medal with her 39 shots in women's bocce volo. 

Turkey's Seda Geridonmez claimed the silver with 36 shots while Italian Virginia Venturini got the bronze medal. 

- Men's bocce volo

Leo Brnic of Croatia claimed the gold medal with 47 shots in men's bocce volo.

French Fabien Jarnet got the silver and Slovenian Ales Borcnik won the bronze medal. 

- Women's triple jump

In the women's triple jump, Greek Athanasia Perra won the gold medal with her 14.48m while Slovenian Snezana Rodic got the silver and Algerian Baya Rahouli got the bronze medal. 

Sevim Sinmez of Turkey ranked the fifth with her 13.75m.

- Women's javelin throw

Turkey's Berivan Sakir ranked 5th in women's javelin throw with 49.70, while Eda Tugsuz ranked 7th with 48.87. Slovenian Ratej claimed the gold medal with 60.28.

- Men's 4x100 meters relay

Turkish team composed of Ismail Aslan, Ferhat Altunkalem, Izzet Safer and Umutcan Emektas brought the bronze medal home with their 42.82, while Italian team of Simone Collio, Jacques Riparelli, Davide Manenti and Michael Tumi claimed the gold medal with their 39.06. Greek team of Efthymios Stergioulis, Christos Kalamaras, Emmanouil Paterakis and Panagiotis Andreadis received the silver medal with their 40.22 in men's 4x100 meters relay.

- Women's 4x100 meters relay

In women's 4x100 meters relay, Turkey's Aksel Gurcan Demirtas, Saliha Ozyurt, Hatice Ozturk and Sema Apak became the 5th with their 46.24.

Micol Cattaneo, Jessica Paoletta, Ilenia Draisci and Audrey Alloh of Italy got the gold medal with their 44.66, and Greek Cypriot team of Paraskevi Andreou, Anna Romana Papaioannou, Dimitra Kyriakidou and Eleni Artymata received the silver medal with 44.79. Maria Gatou, Agni Derveni, Olympia Petsoudi and Grigora Keramida of Greece won the bronze medal with 45.12.

- Women's 100 meters hurdles

Itallian Marzia Caravelli claimed the gold medal with her 12.98, while Veronica Borsi won the silver medal with 13.05, and Slovenian Marina Tomic claimed the bronze medal with 13.11 in women's 100 meters hurdles.

- Men's pole vaulting

In men's pole vaulting, Italian Gibilisco claimed the gold medal his with his 5.70. French Kevin Menaldo won the silver medal with 5.60 meters, while Italian Giorgio Piantella won the bronze medal with 5.50.

- Women's 5000 meters track 

French Christine Bardelle claimed the gold medal with her 15.39.54, while Italy's Silvia Weissteiner got the silver medal with 15.44.53, and compatriot Elena Romagnolo got the bronze medal with her 16.11.17 in women's 5,000 meters track.
