Zelenskyy, US envoy Kellogg discuss arms supply, secondary sanctions on Russian oil
Ukrainian leader highlights need to intensify pressure on Russia’s energy exports

ISTANBUL
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday held a “substantive conversation” with US special envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg, focusing on arms supply, joint defense production, and sanctions against Russia.
Zelenskyy thanked Kellogg for leading the US delegation to the Ukraine recovery conference and said their meeting addressed ongoing American arms deliveries, bolstering Ukraine’s air defense capabilities, and increasing joint defense manufacturing efforts inside Ukraine.
The Ukrainian leader also highlighted the need to intensify pressure on Russia’s energy exports, especially through secondary sanctions targeting oil buyers.
“We are hopeful for progress on the bill proposed by Senators Graham and Blumenthal in the US Congress. This could certainly make Russia give greater thought to peace,” he said on X.
Zelenskyy expressed appreciation for bipartisan support from the US. “We thank President Trump, both parties, and all American people for their support and assistance. We sincerely value the friendship between our nations.”
