White House claims ‘massive results’ from US-Israeli strikes on Iran
White House says Iran’s ballistic missile capacity ‘functionally destroyed’ and navy assessed ‘combat ineffective’
ISTANBUL
The White House said Saturday that joint US-Israeli military operations against Iran have produced “massive results,” claiming significant damage to Tehran’s missile, naval, and drone capabilities.
In a statement on US social media company X, the administration said Iran’s ballistic missile capacity has been “functionally destroyed,” while the country’s navy is assessed as “combat ineffective.”
The statement also asserted that US and Israeli forces have established “complete and total aerial dominance over Iran” as part of the ongoing military campaign known as "Operation Epic Fury," which began on Feb. 28 with coordinated strikes across Iran.
According to the White House, the operation—now in its 15th day—has significantly degraded Iran’s ability to launch attacks.
A graphic accompanying the statement said Iranian drone attacks have declined by 95%, while more than 90 Iranian naval vessels are reported to have been sunk or destroyed during the campaign.
The White House also claimed that over 6,000 targets inside Iran have been struck since the start of the operation.
Since Israel and the US launched joint attacks on Iran on Feb. 28, killing some 1,200 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, hostilities have escalated.
Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets.
