US house prices rise 2.8% annually in May
On monthly basis, prices down 0.2%

US house prices rose 2.8% in May from a year ago, the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) said Tuesday.
The figure followed a year-on-year jump of 3.2% in April.
The 12-month changes were positive in all regions, ranging from 0.6% in the Pacific division to 5.9% in the Middle Atlantic division.
On a monthly basis, house prices fell 0.2% in May after dropping 0.3% in April.
"For the nine census divisions, seasonally adjusted monthly home price changes ranged from -0.8 percent in the Middle Atlantic division to +0.3 percent in the West South Central and New England divisions," it added.
