UN fails to ensure Palestinian rights: Tunisia leader

TUNIS

Tunisian President Kais Saied said Tuesday the United Nations, since it was established, has failed to ensure the rights of Palestinians to recover their territories.

The rights of Palestinians on their own land have not been realized throughout UN history, Saied said during a virtual 75th session of the UN General Assembly via a video link.

Regarding world politics, he said international relations can no longer be governed by the same principles of prior centuries.

“It is time to think together about the future of humanity and to remove injustices in the world,” Saied added.

The General Assembly debate is scheduled to run through Sept. 29.
