Ukraine says bodies of 51 fallen soldiers handed over by Russia
Bodies returned with help of intelligence and security services

ISTANBUL
Ukraine received the bodies of 51 fallen soldiers from regions under Russian control, the country's Commissioner for Missing Persons Oleh Kotenko said on Friday.
He said the bodies were returned with the help of government agencies, including the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Central Security Service of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“The process of returning the bodies continues in accordance with the norms of the Geneva Convention,” Kotenko added.
Russia launched its “special military operation” in Ukraine on Feb. 24 last year.
