Türkiye supports Robotics Olympiad in Kyrgyzstan

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan/ISTANBUL

The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) supported the second National STEM Robotics Olympiad held in the Kyrgyz capital of Bishkek.

About 400 students from 7 - 14 took part in the competition Monday, which was organized by the Kyrgyz Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovation.

Ministry officials, the Turkish Embassy and TIKA attended the competition at the Gazprom Sports Complex.

“Education in Kyrgyzstan is our priority. Here, we see the scientists and engineers of the future. We understand once again how right our efforts in education are,” said Kursat Dulkadir, education counselor at the Turkish Embassy in Bishkek.

He congratulated the students on behalf of Türkiye.

Kyrgyz Deputy Minister of Science, Higher Education and Innovation Aibek Chotonov highlighted the growing interest in robotics for children in Kyrgyzstan.

TIKA Coordinator Mehmet Bodur told the event that the organization will continue to support young talents “who will build the shared future of Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan.”

Students from the Science Bishkek Innovation Center, established by TIKA, the Bishkek Kyrgyz-Turkish Anatolian High School affiliated with Türkiye’s Ministry of National Education, schools in Bishkek run by the Turkish Maarif Foundation, and 41 schools affiliated with the Kyrgyz Ministry of Science participated in the Olympiad.
