Turkish stocks flat at Monday close
BIST 100 index loses 1.9 points from previous close

ANKARA
Turkey's benchmark stock index fell 0.12% to close Monday at 1,555.47 points.
After starting the week at 1,558.59 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 1.92 points from the last week's close of 1,557.39 points.
On Monday, the BIST 100 hovered between 1,553.49 and 1,566.39 points -- 31 stocks on the index rose, 64 fell, and five were flat compared to the previous close.
Closing the day with a market value of some 1.2 trillion Turkish liras ($156.8 billion), the benchmark index posted a daily trading volume of 18.5 billion Turkish liras ($2.5 billion).
Shares of private lender Garanti BBVA, glass maker Sise Cam and national flag carrier Turkish Airlines saw the highest trading volumes.
Stocks of Gozde Girisim, a Turkish private equity firm controlled by food giant Ulker, climbed the most, rising 9.99%, while shares of telecommunication company Alcatel Lucent Teletas suffered the biggest drop of the day, falling 3.42%.
One ounce of gold sold for $1,732.30 by market close on Monday, up from $1,710.00 at Friday's close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was around $68.20 per barrel as of 6.00 p.m. local time (1500GMT) on Monday, with a daily range of $67.87 to $70.02.
