Turkish stocks down at midweek opening
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index decreases 2.06 points from previous close

ANKARA
Turkey's benchmark stock index opened at 1,090.10 points on Wednesday, with a decline of 0.19% or 2.06 points from the previous close.
At Tuesday's close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was down 1.47% at 1,092.16 points, with a daily trading volume of 17.7 billion Turkish liras ($2.4 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 7.3970 as of 9:30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), slightly lower than the value of 7.3980 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate fell to 8.7400 from 8.7500 at Tuesday's close, while one British pound traded for 9.7360 Turkish liras, decreasing from 9.7830.
One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around $46.42 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT) on Wednesday.
