ANKARA
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday welcomed his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic with an official ceremony in the capital Ankara.
After a one-on-one meeting to discuss bilateral and regional issues, the two leaders are due to attend a session of the countries’ high-level cooperation council and also hold a joint news conference where several agreements will be signed.
The visit follows Erdogan’s Monday visit to Serbia’s southern neighbor, Albania.
Both countries are part of the Balkans, a region Turkiye shares deep historical and cultural ties with.
