Turkey's Borsa Istanbul up at Thursday's open
BIST 100 index gains over 482 points from previous close

ANKARA
Turkey's benchmark stock index started the day at 111,422.04 points on Thursday, up by 0.43%, or 482.08 points.
At Wednesday's close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was flat and stood at 110,939.96 points, with a daily trading volume of 15.75 billion Turkish liras ($2.3 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate increased to 6.8560 as of 9:30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) Thursday, compared to 6.8500 at Wednesday's close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also rose to 7.7160 from 7.6880, while one British pound traded for 8.6230 Turkish liras, up from 8.6110 at the previous close.
One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around $40.59 as of 10:00 a.m. local time (0700GMT) on Thursday.
