Turkey's Borsa Istanbul up at opening session
BIST 100 index gains over 1.63 points from previous close

Turkey's benchmark stock index was slightly up at 1,137.17 points in Thursday's open with an increase of 0.14%.
At Wednesday's close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was down 1.49% at 1,135.55 points with a daily trading volume of 23.9 billion Turkish liras ($3.4 billion).
The stock exchange will trade half-day Thursday due to Eid al-Adha's, the Islamic feast of sacrifice. Markets are also closed for Friday and Monday.
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate, meanwhile, rose to 6.9760 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), compared to 6.9700 at previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate dropped to 8.1980 from 8.2100, while British pound traded for 9.0560 Turkish liras, down from 9.2070 .
One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around $44 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT).
At the beginning of this year, a barrel of Brent oil sold for around $58.
