Turkey: Economists expect $4.3B current account deficit

ISTANBUL 

Turkey's current account balance is projected to post a deficit of $4.3 billion in April, an Anadolu Agency survey found on Wednesday.

Turkey's Central Bank is set to announce the balance of payments figures for April on Friday.

The estimates of a group of 16 economists range between $2.2 billion and $5.2 billion.

The end-2020 current account balance is forecast to register a deficit of $10.9 billion.

Turkey's current account balance in March saw a deficit of nearly $4.9 billion.

The country's 12-month rolling surplus amounted to $1.46 billion in the month.
