Turkey crowned champions of Zagreb wrestling tournament

ISTANBUL

The Turkish Wrestling Federation confirmed Monday that the national Greco-Roman wrestling team won the Grand Prix Zagreb Open Wrestling Tournament.

Turkey claimed four gold, four silver and one bronze medals to be crowned champions.

Ekrem Ozturk (55 kg), Kerem Kamal (60 kg), Burhan Akbudak (82 kg) and Riza Kayaalp (130 kg) clinched gold medals, while Serif Kilic (55 kg), Atakan Yuksel (67 kg), Cenk Ildem (97 kg) and Salih Aydın (72 kg) grabbed silver medals in the men’s division.

In addition to them, Selcuk Can (72 kg) won a bronze medal, the federation said in a statement.

Also, Yakup Gor (74 kg) claimed silver medal, while Hamza Alaca (65 kg) and Pasa Ekrem Karabulut (125 kg) each won bronze medals in the Moscow Grand Prix freestyle tournament.
