Saudi Arabia to host 1st international nonprofit forum to maximize socio-economic impact
BEYOND PROFIT International Non-Profit Forum brings global leaders together to boost sector’s role in sustainable development and socio-economic impact
ISTANBUL
Saudi Arabia will host its first-of-its-kind international nonprofit forum next week, aiming to strengthen the sector’s role in sustainable development and expand its social and economic impact.
The BEYOND PROFIT International Non-Profit Forum will take place on Dec. 3–5 in Riyadh. The event is designed as a global platform bringing together senior leaders, decision-makers, experts, and social-impact innovators from around the world.
The forum aims to discuss the future of the non-profit sector and its role in sustainable development while enhancing social and economic impact both locally and internationally, the state news agency SPA reported on Sunday.
More than 80 speakers from diverse fields will participate in the forum, which features an extensive program of panel discussions addressing key challenges and opportunities for the nonprofit sector.
Scheduled sessions include “Building Trust Through Compliance and Transparency,” “Give It Away, the Right Way,” and “Purpose in the Age of AI,” each exploring themes related to innovation, accountability, and mission-focused impact.
Other sessions will examine the connection between social impact and economic growth, new models for philanthropic collaboration, and the future of aid, technology, and development beyond 2030. The forum will also offer specialized workshops.
SPA said the event is structured around four main themes essential for a sustainable nonprofit sector.
The first focuses on governance and community-driven innovation; the second on workforce resilience and leadership development; the third on resource mobilization and the use of modern technologies such as artificial intelligence; and the fourth on strengthening integration between government and nonprofit institutions to achieve sustainability.
The forum highlights Saudi Arabia’s effort to position itself as a global hub for innovation and social impact in development fields, the agency said.
It also reflects the kingdom’s “ongoing commitment to developing the non-profit sector as a key driver of future growth by adopting modern visions, innovative financing mechanisms, and strategic alliances aligned with global transformations.”
SPA said the initiative supports the broader objectives of Vision 2030, “and elevating the non-profit sector’s role in building a more sustainable and prosperous future.”
