Russia claims to have taken control of another settlement in Ukraine Ukraine

MOSCOW

The Russian Defense Ministry claimed on Tuesday that its forces have seized control of another Ukrainian village.

The forces captured the village of Andriivka in the Sumy region bordering Russia, the ministry said in a statement.

The statement claimed that forces also improved their positions and advanced across the entire frontline.

The aviation, strike drones, missiles, and artillery dealt blows to radio-electronic manufacturing enterprises, ammunition depots, military warehouses, as well as temporary deployment points of Ukrainian troops and foreign mercenaries in 142 districts, it said.

Also, several workshops producing attack drones, as well as drone launch and storage sites were hit, the ministry added.

It stated that Russian air defense systems shot down four US-made JDAM-guided aerial bombs, two HIMARS rockets and 199 drones overnight.

Ukraine has yet to comment on Russia's claims, and independent verification is challenging due to the ongoing armed conflict.
