Protesters in a northern suburb of Paris on Thursday rallied outside a Carrefour store over its alleged support for Israel.

Pro-Palestinian protesters gathered outside the Carrefour store in Saint-Denis, calling for a boycott of the supermarket, which they accused of supporting Israel.

The protesters carried a banner belonging to the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, reading: "Boycott Israel's apartheid."

At the protest site, a large banner in the green, black, and red colors of the Palestinian flag, reading "Palestine will live. Sumud," was also laid on the ground.

Israel has sealed Gaza’s crossings since March 2, preventing food and aid trucks from entering despite hundreds waiting at the border. The move has exacerbated the humanitarian catastrophe in the enclave, leaving residents without access to basic supplies.

Since October 2023, the Israeli army has killed more than 65,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in Gaza. The relentless bombardment has rendered the enclave uninhabitable and triggered widespread starvation and the spread of disease.
