Prices hike more than expected in US in June
Annual price hike at 2.7%, monthly at 0.3%

ISTANBUL
The consumer price index in the US exceeded expectations in June, according to official figures released on Tuesday.
The country's annual inflation rate was 2.7%, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, surpassing market expectations of 2.6%.
While the food index posted an increase of 3% in June, the energy index declined 0.8% in June on a yearly basis.
The monthly price increase was 0.3%, the same as forecasts.
The index for shelter rose 0.2% in June and was the primary factor in all items monthly increase.
