Israeli forces killed a Palestinian man and wounded a child Friday during a military raid in neighborhoods of Jenin, in the northern occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said Mohammad Salameh, 25, was shot dead by Israel in Jenin.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society also said he was shot in the abdomen and neck by Israeli forces.
The Red Crescent reported in an update that a 15-year-old Palestinian boy was injured by bullet shrapnel fired by Israeli troops near the same location.
Sources said Israeli forces stormed several neighborhoods in central Jenin, opening fire on Palestinian residents.
According to official Palestinian figures, more than 1,051 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank, around 10,300 wounded and over 20,000 arrested, including 1,600 children, since the onslaught against the Gaza Strip began two years ago.
Since October 2023, Israeli attacks have killed nearly 67,200 Palestinians in the enclave, most of them women and children, and rendered it uninhabitable.
