The Israeli army on Saturday claimed that two more senior Iranian officials were killed, as it continued attacks that began with strikes on Iran early Friday.

The army identified the officials as Gholam Reza Mehrabi, head of the Intelligence Division of the Iranian Armed Forces, and Mohammad Bakeri, commander of the surface-to-surface missile array in the Revolutionary Guards Air Force, Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported.

The newspaper said the army also claimed it attacked missile launchers ready to be fired toward Israel in western Iran.

Israel launched a series of strikes against Iranian territory, targeting nuclear and missile facilities early Friday, killing senior military figures and scientists. The attacks have continued and resulted in the deaths of at least 78 people with 320 others injured, according to figures earlier announced by Iran's UN envoy.

In retaliation, Iran fired missiles at several locations inside Israel Friday night, resulting in the deaths of at least three people and injuring dozens.
