Iranian judge assassinated in southern Iran
There was no claim of responsibility for judge’s killing

ANKARA
A senior Iranian judge was killed in the southern city of Shiraz on Tuesday, local media said.
Ehsan Bagheri, 38, head of Branch 102 of Shiraz's Criminal Court 2, was shot dead by two assailants while traveling to work, the state news agency INRA said, citing Sadrollah Rajaee-Nasab, a judicial official in Fars Province.
Iranian authorities have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the perpetrators of the attack.
Iran’s judiciary chief, Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei, condemned the attack and called for swift action to bring those responsible to justice.
There has been no claim of responsibility for the killing.
