The International Falcon Breeders Auction 2025 in Saudi Arabia achieved total sales exceeding $3.46 million at the conclusion of its activities.

The auction, organized by the Saudi Falcons Club in Riyadh, kicked off on Aug. 5 at its headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh, and continued for 21 days, club spokesperson Waleed Al-Taweel said in a statement.

A total of 67 breeding farms from 23 countries participated, including 19 Saudi farms, in a highly competitive environment. Dedicated pavilions showcased falcon breeding farms as well as falconry equipment, Al-Taweel noted.

The event also featured a “Future Falconer” pavilion and interactive presentations by breeders on care and training methods, making the auction an attractive destination for falconry enthusiasts worldwide, according to the statement.

In total, 1,103 falcons were sold during the auction. Al-Taweel said that performance indicators improved compared to last year, with sales revenue up 23%, the number of falcons sold rising 27%, participating countries increasing by 21% and breeding farms by 20%, reflecting the continuous growth since the auction’s launch.

Among the highlights was the sale of the most expensive falcon of the year—a Gyr Pure Super White—for 1.2 million riyals ($320,000).

Al-Taweel emphasized that “the auction has established itself as a trusted platform bringing together top-tier breeders and falconers from Saudi Arabia and internationally, fostering knowledge exchange and creating new investment opportunities in this thriving sector.”

According to the statement, the Saudi Falcons Club is continuing its 122-day falconry season, which includes auctions, exhibitions, races and championships.

Upcoming events include the Saudi International Falcons and Hunting Exhibition from Oct. 2–11, the Malwah Race from Oct. 5–10 and the Saudi Falcons Club Auction from Oct. 1 to Nov. 30.

The season will also feature the Falcons Club Cup Championship from Nov. 23–30, concluding with the King Abdulaziz Falcons Festival from Dec. 25, 2025 to Jan. 10, 2026.
