FC Sochi-FC Tambov game suspended as team members test positive for virus
ANKARA
Nine members of Russian top-flight team FC Sochi contracted virus, the Russian Premier League (RPL) announced on Thursday.
"Nine representatives of FC Sochi have tested positive for the coronavirus. Their results were announced on 16 July," RPL said on its website.
"The club has notified the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor and is awaiting further instructions from the departments," it added.
Today’s game between FC Sochi and FC Tambov was also suspended after the virus cases were found.
Sochi is currently in the 12th spot with 33 points, while Tambov is in the 14th spot with 28 points in the league.
