Finland beat Switzerland to win Olympic bronze in women's ice hockey

ANKARA

Finland claimed a bronze medal in women's ice hockey with a 4-0 win over Switzerland at the Beijing Olympics on Wednesday.

Viivi Vainikka, Susanna Tapani, Nelli Laitinen, and Michelle Karvine scored to give Finland a decisive win at Wukesong Arena.

Finland won the second straight Olympic bronze in women's ice hockey at Beijing 2022 after the first at Pyeongchang 2018.

The US and Canada will face off for a gold medal on Thursday.

Norway win men's team sprint gold

Norway bagged a gold medal in the men's cross-country skiing team sprint event.

They were victorious in 19 minutes, 22.99 seconds for their 13th gold medal at the Olympics, followed by Finland with 2.46 seconds behind.

The Russian Olympic Committee clocked 19:27:28 to win a bronze medal.

Canada claim gold in men's 5,000m short track speed skating relay

Canada won a gold medal in men's 5,000m short track speed skating relay after they completed the race in 6:41:257.

They bagged their first gold medal in the competition since 2010.

South Korea clocked 6:41:679 to win a silver medal and Italy took a bronze medal with 6:43:431.
