Borsa Istanbul down in opening session
BIST 100 index falls 3.61 points from previous close

ANKARA
Turkey's benchmark stock index opened at 1,150.10 points on Wednesday, down 0.38% or 3.61 points from the previous close.
At Tuesday's close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index dropped 0.60%, reaching 1,153.71 points with a daily trading volume of 20.68 billion Turkish liras ($2.66 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 7.8180 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), compared to 7.7770 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also rose to 9.1800 versus 9.1630 while the British pound traded for 10.1100 Turkish liras, up from 10.1130 .
One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around $42.28 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT).
