At least 15 workers killed in US-Israeli attack on industrial area in central Iran
Local media reports missile strike on factory in Isfahan’s industrial complex
ISTANBUL
At least 15 workers were killed and scores of others injured in a US-Israeli strike targeting an industrial complex in central Iran, according to Iranian media reports Saturday.
The semi-official Fars News Agency reported that a US-Israeli attack struck the Ji Industrial Complex in Isfahan.
According to initial information cited by the agency, more than 15 people were killed and several others injured in the missile strike on the complex.
The report said the attack hit a factory producing cooling and heating equipment, where a number of workers were present at the time of the strike.
Regional tensions have flared since Israel and the US launched joint attacks on Iran on Feb. 28, killing more than 1,200 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, along with Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries, which it says are targeting “US military assets.”
