Four players and one staffer of Bayern Munich have contracted the coronavirus, the German club confirmed on Saturday.

"Four players will definitely miss the first training session of the year. Manuel Neuer (in the Maldives), Kingsley Coman (Dubai), Corentin Tolisso (France) and Omar Richards have tested positive for coronavirus," Bayern said in a statement.

"They are all doing well, as is assistant coach Dino Toppmöller, who has also tested positive for the virus. They are all isolating at home," it added.

The Bavarians also said that the squad would not kick off their preparations for the second half of the season until Monday and that all players, coaches, and backroom staff would initially undergo PCR tests on the morning of the same day.
