At least 350 flights and 60,000 passengers have been affected in Russia due to a series of Ukrainian drone attacks on various cities, including the capital Moscow, said the country's aviation authority on Wednesday.

A total of 110 flights were canceled at Moscow's Vnukovo, Sheremetyevo, and Domodedovo airports, affecting at least 350 flights and 60,000 passengers across Russia on Tuesday and Wednesday, the Association of Tour Operators in Russia (ATOR) said in a statement.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry stated that Ukraine used over 500 drones to attack the country overnight.

Flights have been canceled and delayed at many airports as a result of intensified unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacks in several major cities since Tuesday, it added.

Since Tuesday, the Ukrainian army has attacked various cities, particularly Moscow, with drones, but the Russian army’s defense systems have shot down many of them.

Some Russian airlines have issued warnings that flights may be canceled or delayed due to airport security restrictions.
