English Premier League side Manchester City Friday announced that Gabriel Jesus, Kyle Walker, and two club staffers had contracted the novel coronavirus.

“All four personnel will now observe a period of self-isolation in accordance with Premier League and UK Government protocol on quarantine,” the club said in a statement.

“Everyone at the Club wishes our colleagues a speedy recovery over the Christmas period ahead of their return to work, training and competition.”

Jesus and Walker were on the pitch on Tuesday in the team’s 4-1 victory over Arsenal in the Carabao Cup quarter-final.

Both players are expected to miss at least two games, including Manchester City’s matches against Newcastle United on Saturday and Everton on Monday in the Premier League.
