China’s interest in Greenland, flagged by the US, remains lower than expected

China, which US President Donald Trump has pointed to over Greenland, does have investments in critical areas such as rare earth elements and transportation infrastructure, even though its political and geopolitical ties with the island are not as strong as claimed.
