The Jordanian army said Saturday that it has intercepted and destroyed 242 missiles and drones out of 262 launched toward the kingdom since the start of the US-Israeli war on Iran.

In a joint statement with the Public Security Directorate, the army said 22 missiles were launched from Iran toward Jordan during the recent fourth week of the conflict.

It added that the air force successfully intercepted most of last week’s missiles, while two were not intercepted and fell in the eastern part of the country.

The army said Jordan has been directly targeted by Iranian attacks since the start of the war, with a total of 262 missiles and drones launched toward critical sites in the kingdom.

It added that 242 projectiles were intercepted and destroyed, while 20 were not.

The directorate said it handled 64 reports over the past week related to debris and falling objects from missiles and drones.

The total number of debris incidents since the start of the war reached 478, while there were 25 injuries total, all of them since discharged from medical care except for the most recent case, it said.

Material damage since the start of the war includes 25 vehicles, 55 homes and commercial shops, as well as 14 public properties, the statement said.
