'Grateful to the EU for its unwavering support and practical assistance in strengthening Ukraine,' Sybiha says

ISTANBUL
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said on Friday he held a phone call with EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas to coordinate positions ahead of "upcoming international events."
In a statement on X, he said they discussed the recent diplomatic efforts, results of Thursday's talks in Paris and the next steps to "restore a fair and comprehensive peace in Ukraine and Europe."
"Grateful to the EU for its unwavering support and practical assistance in strengthening Ukraine," he added.
European and Ukrainian officials met US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and special envoy Steve Witkoff in Paris on Thursday, as President Donald Trump pushes to end the war in Ukraine.
Kallas had earlier warned European leaders against participating in Moscow’s Victory Day celebrations on May 9, inviting them to show solidarity with Ukraine instead.
