UK reiterates demand for entry of unrestricted aid into Gaza amid 'horrifying' humanitarian crisis
'The acute shortage is threatening to shut down water supply, hospitals and ambulances,’ International Development Minister Jenny Chapman writes on X

LONDON
The British development minister reiterated the UK's demand Wednesday for Israel to allow unrestricted aid delivery into the Gaza Strip, where the humanitarian crisis is "horrifying."
"The acute shortage is threatening to shut down water supply, hospitals and ambulances," Jenny Chapman wrote on X.
"We need a sustainable and immediate ceasefire, unrestricted aid into Gaza, and the release of all hostages," she added.
Despite international calls for a ceasefire, the Israeli army has pursued a genocidal war on Gaza, killing more than 57,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children, since October 2023.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
