ISTANBUL

Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon on Thursday condemned attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran as “unacceptable violations of international law,” according to a statement from the Foreign Ministry.

“I condemned the attacks by Israel and the United States on Iran as unacceptable violations of international law,” Fajon said in a post on US social media platform X.

She also “strongly” condemned Iran’s retaliatory actions against countries in the region, particularly what she described as “unjustified and indiscriminate attacks on civilian targets.”

Israel and the United States have continued a large-scale offensive against Iran that began Saturday, with Iranian authorities reporting at least 926 people killed, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and senior military officials.

Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel as well as Gulf countries that host US military assets.
