Poland welcomes draft bill proposing extended social, legal rights to its citizens in Ukraine

ANKARA 

Poland has welcomed a draft bill submitted in the Ukrainian parliament that would give extended social and legal rights to its citizens in Ukraine. 

Commenting on the bill which was sent to parliament by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Monday, Piotr Muller, Poland’s government spokesman, said that the gesture would improve bilateral economic cooperation.

It will also help the reconstruction of Ukraine, he added.

Zelenskyy’s office had said on Monday that the bill is a sign of gratitude to the Polish people for their solidarity, and support for Ukraine which has been facing full-scale Russian armed aggression.
