Arsenal beat defending English champions Manchester City 1-0 in a Sunday Premier League match in London.
The Gunners' forward Gabriel Martinelli took a shot outside the area that was deflected by Man City defender Nathan Ake's head before going inside the back of the net in the 86th minute at Emirates Stadium.
Martinelli was assisted by Kai Havertz.
Following the win, Arsenal increased their points to 20 to level with leaders and archrivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Man City moved to the third spot with 18 points in eight matches.
Liverpool are fourth with 17 points after the Reds drew with Brighton 2-2.
