Man charged with terrorism offense following 'incident' at Israeli Embassy in London
Man arrested on suspicion of offense contrary to Section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006, says Metropolitan Police

LONDON
A man, 33, has been charged with a terrorism offense after he was arrested at the Israeli Embassy in London, police said Wednesday.
The Metropolitan Police said it received a report that a man was attempting to gain unauthorized access to the grounds of the Israeli Embassy in Kensington on April 28.
Officers prevented Abdullah Sabah Albadri from entering and arrested him on suspicion of a public order offence, trespassing on a designated site, and possession of an offensive weapon.
Police said that they carried out further inquiries and arrested him on suspicion of an offense contrary to Section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006.
The offenses include "preparation of terrorist acts, contrary to Section 5(1)(a) of the Terrorism Act 2006" and "two counts of possession of a pointed or bladed article, contrary to Section 139(1) and (6) of the Criminal Justice Act 1988."
Dominic Murphy, head of the Metropolitan Police Counter Terrorism Command, said officials are not seeking anyone else in connection with the arrest, and they do not believe there is a wider threat to the public.
Albadri has been remanded in custody and is due to appear later Wednesday at the Westminster Magistrates’ Court, said the statement.
