BELGRADE, Serbia
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani both telephoned President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to wish him a happy birthday.
"I congratulated President Erdogan on his 70th birthday and wish him good health and success in leading the country he manages wisely and prudently in these challenging times," Vucic said on social media late Monday.
He added that they also spoke on the excellent bilateral relations between Serbia and Türkiye.
"We confirmed the commitment to further strengthening cooperation in different areas. I took the opportunity to emphasize once again the importance of the friendship between our two countries and the mutual efforts we are making to promote peace and stability," said Vucic.
Osmani said in their call that Kosovo is grateful for Türkiye's enduring support.
"A pleasure to extend birthday greetings to President Erdogan ... accompanied by heartfelt wishes for his continued well-being," said Osmani.
Erdogan on Monday received happy birthday calls from several world leaders, including his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, according to the country’s Communications Directorate.
His well-wishers included Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, United Arab Emirates President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, the directorate said.
