Italian prosecutor opens investigation against Donald Trump’s oldest son on allegations of illegal hunting
Probe after criminal complaint by Italian animal rights group earlier this month

ATHENS
A prosecutor in the northern city of Venice opened an investigation against US President Donald Trump’s oldest son on allegations of illegal hunting, according to Italian media reports.
The probe of Donald John Trump Jr came after a criminal complaint filed Feb. 4 by the Italian Anti-Vivisection League, said the Il Post news outlet.
A video on social media showed Trump Jr shooting at ducks and then addressing the camera and pointing to an orange-brown duck with at least six dead waterfowl around him.
The dead birds included a ruddy shelduck, which is protected by the EU Birds Directive and Italian wildlife protection legislation.
