A statement released on Orban’s official website said that the Hungarian premier traveled to Astana with a delegation including Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, Finance Minister Mihaly Varga and Economic Development Minister Marton Nagy.

The statement further said that Orban will hold talks with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and other Kazakh officials, after which he will participate in the 10th summit of the OTS due to take place on Friday.

Leaders will “make decisions on pivotal matters, finalize agreements, and endorse official documents related to OTS projects in fields such as economy, trade, transport, and customs,” said a statement by the OTS.

During the summit, where the presidency of the organization will be transferred from Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan, discussions on political and economic developments within the region and beyond, as well as key aspects of cooperation among OTS member states and observers will be held.
