The Pont du Gard, built on the Gardon River in southern France, is the tallest of the ancient Roman aqueduct bridges crisscrossing the region and also one of the best-preserved.

The historical aqueduct Pont du Gard, built in the first century AD in the Roman region of Gaul, was captured in aerial footage.

It was added to UNESCO's World Heritage List in 1985 in recognition of its historical importance and distinguished architecture.
