Greek farmers will drive their tractors to Athens as they are frustrated following an unfruitful meeting with the prime minister premier earlier this week, media reports said Thursday. 

Farmers agreed on the need to escalate mobilizations in a meeting with farmers’ unions from areas parts of the country because their demands were not met when they had an audience with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, according to public broadcaster ERT.

Some farmers will drive to Athens to hold massive a rally. Those from distant areas of the court will blocks roads, ports and customs offices, it said.

ERT said the farmers believe there is space in the budget for their demands, contrary to what the government said.
