Dutch airline cancels all Dubai flights until late March over Mideast conflict
All Dubai flights cancelled 'up to and including March 28'
ISTANBUL
Royal Dutch Airlines (KLM) announced Wednesday the cancellation of all Dubai flights until late March amid continuing US-Israeli attacks on Iran and retaliatory hostilities.
"Due to ongoing unrest in the Middle East, KLM has decided to cancel all flights to Dubai up to and including March 28," KLM announced in a written statement.
It also noted that the airlines will not be flying to the Saudi cities of the capital Riyadh and Dammam "up to and including Thursday, March 12."
Since Israel and the US launched joint attacks on Iran on Feb. 28, so far killing more than 1,200 people, including former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, hostilities have escalated.
Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries that are home to US military assets.
