ATHENS
Delays in the Greece’s Athens International Airport worsened in July 2025, local media reported on Friday.
Citing Eurocontrol, the daily Kathimerini said only 48% of the flights from the airport departed within 15 minutes of their scheduled time, down from 59% in July 2024.
Though the delay times were shortened, ongoing problem of lack of sufficient number of traffic controllers plays a major role in the delays, it added.
