BRUSSELS

All departing flights will be canceled at Brussels Airport on March 12 due to a nationwide strike called by trade unions, airport authorities reported on Wednesday.

The strike targets the federal government's recent measures and is expected to disrupt air travel across the country, according to a statement by the airport.

Passengers are advised to check with airlines for updates and rebooking options.

Incoming flights may also be cancelled, Brussels Airport warned.

Authorities have urged travelers to plan ahead and consider alternative arrangements as the development may also affect other transport services.
