6 migrants killed in shipwreck off Greek island of Lesbos
Police, coast guards rescued another 23 migrants, according to local media

ATHENS
At least six migrants died Thursday when a boat capsized off the northern coast of the Greek island of Lesbos, local media reported.
The boat was carrying migrants from Afghanistan and Syria, according to public broadcaster ERT.
Twenty-three migrants were rescued, while coast guards and police continue to search for two missing people, ERT reported.
Nearly 55,000 migrants arrived in Greece by sea last year, most of them from Syria and Afghanistan, according to the UN Refugee Agency.
