Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 10% on Sunday compared to the previous day, totaling 968,835 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 46,336 megawatt-hours at 10 p.m. local time (1900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,840 megawatt-hours at 8 a.m. local time (0500 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 973,454 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a fall of about 10 % compared to Saturday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for 22.7% of total generation, while natural gas and solar plants contributed 19.6% and 13.1%, respectively.
On Sunday, the country's electricity exports totaled 15,754 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 11,164 megawatt-hours.
