South Korean Prime Minister Kim Min-seok and Qatari Energy Minister Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi on Wednesday discussed cooperation in energy, artificial intelligence (AI), and advanced technologies.
Kim met with the Qatari minister in Seoul, where the two held talks on areas such as liquefied natural gas (LNG) and AI, according to Yonhap News.
"Qatar is the second-largest supplier of LNG to South Korea, and our country has secured the highest volume of LNG carrier orders from Qatar," Kim said in a statement.
"We hope to expand our cooperative relationship with Qatar in various areas, not only in energy but also in the AI sector," he added.
The Qatari minister expressed hope for deepening energy cooperation, acknowledging South Korean companies' contribution to the Middle Eastern nation's infrastructure, according to Yonhap News.
