The U.S. stock market closed higher on Friday with the rise in shares of technology companies and financial banking firms.
The Dow added 66 points to end the day at 22,092 points -- a fresh all-time high closing level.
The index finished the last eight consecutive trading days at record high levels.
The S&P 500 rose 4 points to end trading at 2,476 points, and the Nasdaq increased 11 points to finish at 6,351 points.
On Friday, American financial banking giants Bank of America and Goldman Sachs saw their shares increase by 2.4 percent and 2.6 percent, respectively.
Electric carmaker and energy storage company Tesla shares rose 2.8 percent.
This week, the Dow and the S&P 500 gained 1.2 percent and 0.2 percent, respectively.
The Nasdaq, however, decreased 0.4 percent this week.
